The School Social Workers Association of Georgia is only as strong as its membership. That's why we strongly encourage ALL school social workers in the State of Georgia to do your part in supporting your professional organization. Here are just a few reasons why you should consider joining SSWAG:

• It is the only professional organization in the state that focuses solely on School Social Work and is managed by school social workers. SSWAG is your place to lift up our great profession.

• SSWAG pays for lobbyists to ensure that our group has a voice at the state capitol.  

​

• SSWAG offers a mentor program for those that would like to participate. If you are new or relatively new to school social work, having an experienced social worker that you can contact with questions and bounce ideas off of can be a tremendous help. Many of our school districts only have one social worker for the entire system so this is a great benefit of membership.

• SSWAG members get a reduced price for conferences.

• SSWAG provides great networking opportunities.
